“You can’t really learn much about a person based on what kind of music they happen to like. As a personality test it doesn’t work even half the time.”
-Chuck Klosterman (Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs)
In a virtual world gone twitter-tastic we are particularly loving Blip FM! Check out this musically driven website which premise to make those with the cheesiest taste in music more popular then Fatboy Slim.
Choose Life, choose a job, choose a career, choose a song, choose to listen to Pinchito on Blip FM.
Schizophrenic taste in music? No actually it could be any member of staff posting a song.
Ahhhh ‘Scorpions – Winds of Change’ that’s the polish Sous Chef who just dumped his cheating girlfriend. Ever seen a 6ft man cry in to the patatas bravas? Not a pretty sight, get that poor guy a drink!!
Step right up Ms Waitress who begrudgingly rolled out of bed leaving her fit boyfriend of one week sleeping like a baby ‘I just can’t get you out of my head’ or perhaps ‘I WILL SURVIVE’ at least until she sees him later that evening. Think you know somebody? I think musical preferences should be established during an interview. Take our PR lady whose groomed appearance goes out the window once she is rockin’ and playing air guitar along to ACDC – Thunderstruck. Recently someone’s been hitting the whisky after midnight getting philosophical to the melodic sounds of Tom Waits. (may have been me but can’t quite remember!)
The picture – that would be our good friend DJ Jim- whose company 8track Music Solutions provide Pinchito and other iconic bars with very cool sounds. Worry not, we know our limitations and in the real world leave things to the hands of professionals.
